Dreams They Couldn't Understand

No longer was she happy,

The chuckling bird quieting down,

Her laughter never rose,

The light in her eyes dimmed,

Since the day she was called out,

For dreaming big,

She was trying to make her space,

For her words, for her emotions,

They called her out, labelled her,

She endured it all,

For the sake of peace,

But her dream broke off,

The guilt gnawing at her chest,

She broke slowly,

While the world continued living.
